Servere weather guidance

Introduction

Whilst most of the time the various types of weather we may experience locally can range from “pleasent” to “annoying” it tends not to cause too much trouble, however there may be times when the weather may have an impact on services. Any such impact is not normally expected to occur unless a weather warning is in place, however there may be some exceptions. Please see this Met Office guide (external link) for full details of the different types of weather warning.

Please be aware that as the impact of severe weather is somewhat unpredictable there are no discounts/ deductions on rates if a booking is effected by severe weather.

How different types of weather warning may impact on visits

Yellow warnings. All visits will take place, but there is a small chance that the weather may cause minor disruptions to at least some visits whilst the warning is in effect.
Amber warnings. All visits should take place, but minor disruptions to most visits, or significant disruptions to a small number of visits should be expected whilst the warning in in effect.
Red warnings. These are likely to result in significant disruption to most visits whilst the warning is in effect.

Please be aware that certain types of weather may result in some disruption after the warning has passed.
