Dog walking info
- I can accept as a guide a total of 4 hours worth of regular bookings , plus one hour extra for irregular bookings. Or to word it another way, a total of 8+2 half hour slots are available per day.
- Walks start from 9AM and finish by 5PM
- Walks can be booked for 30 minutes per day or 60 minutes per day(subject to availability)
- Walks are priced at £7 per half hour and £14 per hour for one dog. Each additional dog in a household is charged at £2 and £4 respectively.
- 60 minute walks may be split into 2 30 minute walks to take place morning and afternoon if requested.
- All walks can be specified as “morning”(between 9am and 1pm), “midday” (between 11am and 3pm), “afternoon” (between 1pm and 5pm) or “no preference”.
NOTE:- The above should be seen as a guide only as it may at times be necessary to walk dogs outside of their specified slots. - Dogs may at our discretion be walked with other dogs as part of a small group of no more than 3 dogs- This may increase but is currently limited by the number of cages that I have in the van.
NOTE:- When walked as part of a group your dog will be away from home for up to 1 1/2 hours longer than they would be if walked solo. - Dogs can be walked off lead in a suitable location with the owners written permission – and then at our discretion if permission is given.
- I provide my own leads and long lines.
- Prong collars, choke chains or any other item which is designed to tighten around a sensitive or delicate part of the body ARE NOT USED.
- It’s preferable for dog’s to wear a well fitted harness in addition to a (preferably flat) collar. A harness allows us to better support your dog’s weight as they climb in and out of the van or over obstacles, allows the safe use of a long line and reduces the risk of your dog choking if they pull.
- ALWAYS ensure your dog is wearing up to date visible ID as required by law.
Day visit info
Day visits involve visiting your dogs as is the case with a dog walk but your dog stays on your property. Day visits and dog walks are interchangeable and may be applied any time at our discretion.
Day visits are best for those dogs who are:
- Too young for walks.
- Too old for walks.
- otherwise unable to go for walks.
- As an alternative to walks on days that are too hot/ cold/ wet.
A day visit can involve but may not be limited to:
- feeding
- playing
- basic training- for mental stimulation.
- relaxing with your dog
Payment
- Payment for all walks should be made on a weekly basis.
- For walks with a set schedule payment for the weeks bookings at any time, but it is recommended that payment is made on the same day each week.
- For walks that do not have a set schedule, payment for the weeks bookings should be made no later than the day of the 1st booking of that week.
- Late payment:-
- In the event that payment is not received on the usual pay day for your dog’s walks, a reminder will usually be sent out
